Leslie and I spent last weekend in Oklahoma. After all, it is my motherland. My parents, and sister’s family lives there now.
The other reason we traveled to Oklahoma was to see TCU play the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. The result in the end wasn’t the best in the world. OU took advantage of TCU’s aggressive defense in the first quarter, took an early lead and won the game 35-10.
Everytime we head up to Oklahoma, we take an opportunity to influence our niece’s happy childhood memories. We want her to wake up in her room and see TCU, when she looks back on old photos she needs to be in TCU gear, when she thinks about which college to attend, we want TCU to be first on the list. It’s more important now more than ever because she is growing up in Oklahoma! Don’t get me wrong, I love my motherland and Oklahoma Football, but she needs to go to school in Fort Worth. My sister and b-in-law don’t mind either, because they attended TCU too. Interesting fact, both my parents attended OU, but their kids and in-laws went to TCU. How great is that for a family from Oklahoma?
If you would like to see some other photos from my activities in September, click on this link. Warning, they would be considered “guy photos” because they don’t really contain actual people.

Great pics—maybe a little too much purple for my taste.
